Small Business, Nonprofit, & Community Development Services
Small businesses and nonprofits throughout the state are benefitting from Florida Community Development Legal (FCDL) Project’s free legal services. Our attorneys are committed to helping qualified clients achieve their personal, business and organizational goals.
Here are a few examples of FDCL Project’s legal services:
❖ Preserving and creating more than 1,000 affordable housing units throughout the state.
❖ Helping one of the state’s oldest and largest women’s organizations obtain fee simple ownership of it’s office building.
❖ Assisting a Collier County entrepreneur selling proprietary food products.
❖ Drafting client agreements for a minority woman business owner who operates an online marketplace.
❖ Representing a Jacksonville nonprofit in the sale of real property.
❖ Advising a Miami minority-owned food-truck owner in getting state and local licenses.
❖ Representing a statewide advocacy organization for adults with developmental disabilities on a variety of matters including corporate governance and real estate matters.

The Florida Community Development Legal Project is a collaboration among Florida nonprofit legal aid providers supporting community economic development activities: Bay Area Legal Services, Community Legal Services of Mid-Florida, Jacksonville Area Legal Aid, Legal Aid Service of Broward County, Legal Services of Greater Miami, and Legal Services of North Florida.
